Blackberry Playbook will support Java and android apps through App Player....

RIM made an official announcement that Blackberry Playbook will support Java and Android apps.

Actually there is no native support, but this would be available through “App players” which is an application run-time environment that runs Blackberry Java and Android 2.3 apps. This would be available this summer on ‘Blackberry App World’.
RIM also announced they would release native Blackberry OS SDK (NDK) for developers to create apps for Playbook with the help of QNX POSIX library and C/C++ application development platform in addition to HTML5, Flash and AIR support. They have also tied up with Ideaworks Labs and Unity Technologies to offer game development engines for the developers to develop games for Blackberry Playbook.
“App Players” and NDK for Blackberry Playbook would be showcased at BlackBerry World in Orlando, Florida on May 3 to 5 of 2011.

Lg OPTIMUS U+ Leaked....

In the beginning of this new year, LG shocked everyone by announcing the first phone with Tegra 2 processor, which is known as the LG optimus 2x . LG is one of the leading mobile phone companies in the world. At the MWC, LG also announced their first ever 3D phone and tablet. Now LG is planning to bring a new smartphone and it will be something big because it’s known as LG Optimus Big.
The phone is rumored to have a 4.3 inch Nova display and a single-core processor. Well, I don’t believe the single-core thing because almost all the new LG smartphones are running on a dual-core processor; anyway it’s a rumor so we should wait for some official words. The image above is showing it why it’s known as Optimus Big. As you can see the phone is really big as compared to the Apple iPhone3G/3GS. It’s reported that it will be launched in S.Korea by LG Telecom next month where it will be known as LG U+. Well, at the moment we don’t know if LG is planning to launch this phone outside S.Korea, but we hope that it will hit other countries too because LG fans are all over the world. So after checking out the image above, do you think the phone is big enough to fulfill your need, or is it too big?

Sony Ericcson Xperia PLAY review... ...Price between Rs. 31000 to 34000

SONY Ericsson XPERIA Play announcement, specs, images, and videos

The SONY Ericsson XPERIA Play (possibly the worst kept secret in the Android world over the past few months) has finally been unveiled.  While there’s been a lot of hype around this new handset, the specs are not that impressive.  The SONY Ericsson XPERIA Play runs on Android 2.3 with a second generation 1GHz Snapdragon processor with the Qualcomm Adreno 205 GPU, 4-inch 854 x 480 capacitive display, a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and stereo speakers.  Based off of those specs, the XPERIA Play could easily be confused with the XPERIA Arc.  But what makes the XPERIA Play stand out from the crowd is the slide-out PlayStation Certified gaming controls.
In order to make the XPERIA Play the best Android gaming handset available, SONY Ericsson is working with content partners like SONY Computer Entertainment, EA, Gameloft, Glu Mobile, and Digital Legends to make sure their titles can take full advantage of the dedicate gaming hardware on the handset. SONY Ericsson is promising that a library of over 50 titles form nearly 20 different publishers will be available at launch.
No details were shared in regards to pricing, but SONY Ericsson did say that the XPERIA Play will launch in select global markers in March and that the handset will be a timed exclusive from Verizon in early spring.

Google taps LG for Nexus tablet?

.

Following in the footsteps of Google’s Nexus One and Nexus S flagship smartphones, it appears that the company may also be planning for a Nexus tablet device — and this time around, it may be tapping LG to be its manufacturing partner

While still a rumor, a Nexus tablet would make sense for Google. Both Nexus phones served to dictate features that Google wanted other Android manufacturers to follow, and they also offered “pure Google experiences” — meaning they didn’t have any third-party software that would distract from the Android user experience — that made them compelling to developers.
Just like it did with HTC (for the Nexus One) and Samsung (for the Nexus S), Google will work closely with LG to develop the Nexus tablet. It will most likely be optimized for Android 3.0 “Honeycomb,” and will be free of the software issues that have been plaguing Motorola’s Xoom, the first Honeycomb tablet on the market.
At first glance, LG seems like an odd choice for Google to rely on for a flagship tablet. The company’s inexpensive Optimus One Android phones have been a hit with price-conscious consumers, and it’s also bringing the 3D-capable G-Slate tablet to T-Mobile (pictured above), but LG has yet to prove that it can deliver a flagship mobile device.
