Apple sues Samsung over Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab... ...

Apple introduced the first ever iPhone in 2007 and when it was out, it was known as the best device money can buy. Then each year, they introduced a new version of iPhone and the current version is also a good looking device and challenger for a lot of devices. The only thing which is stopping Apple to conquer the mobile market is Android. Android is currently ruling the mobile phone market in several countries. A lot of manufacturers are offering Android devices, HTC and Samsung are currently leading the race. Samsung Galaxy S devices ruled the smartphone market last year in almost every country especially in the USA and the Galaxy Tab gave a new life to Android tablets. Our friends over at All Things D are saying that Apple is suing Samsung for copying the look and feel of Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy Tab.

Well, I don’t know what Apple is doing is right or wrong. I am confused that why they are doing it now? Both devices were launched last year and are available in the market from a long time. I think that Apple is losing the race right now, and suing other companies is the only thing to win but Apple, that’s not how you win. Apple said:

“Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone products and computer tablets, Samsung chose to copy Apple’s technology, user interface and innovative style in these infringing products.”

The lawsuit was filed on Friday where Apple employee said that:

“It’s no coincidence that Samsung’s latest products look a lot like the iPhone and iPad, from the shape of the hardware to the user interface and even the packaging,” said an Apple representative. “This kind of blatant copying is wrong, and we need to protect Apple’s intellectual property when companies steal our ideas.”

And if you are thinking that Samsung is sitting quietly, then stop thinking that and have a look on what Samsung said:

“Samsung’s development of core technologies and strengthening our intellectual property portfolio are keys to our continued success,” the company said in a statement. “Samsung will respond actively to this legal action taken against us through appropriate legal measures to protect our intellectual property.”

I think Apple will lose some of it’s respect after this type of strange move. Samsung is a major part supplier of Apple products and I am sure that this lawsuit will have an impact on the relationship between the companies. Micromax ANDRO A70 Leaked.......Expected Price-Rs 7000 to 8000

Micromax launched a really low-cost Android phone the Andro last year. Now the company is set to release the successor to the device in the form of the A70 as the specs of the device have been posted online.The design of the A70 looks a lot more attractive than the A60 but it looks inspired by the Nexus One especially the menu keys and trackball. Specs wise the device runs on Android 2.2 and sports a 320×480  pixel display. It supports 3g, Blueooth and WiFi and packs a 5 MP Camera on the back. The screen still seems to be a resistive one which is a let down but the pricing of the device is expected to be around Rs.7000-8000. Looks like Micromax is boarding the Android train with both A70 and Bling 2 lined up.

Currently we don’t have the exact release date and price info of the HTC Sensation 4G smartphone, which is hitting T-Mobile carrier in the U.S. this summer.

It will launch in the UK, Germany, and the rest of HTC’s "key" European markets in mid-May, with Vodafone scoring a Europe-wide exclusive for "a couple of weeks. in Q2 of this year"

Rumor: Motorola may cancel the Droid Bionic... ...

At CES in January, Motorola made a point to show off three new devices: the Motorola Atrix for AT&T, the Motorola Xoom tablet running Honeycomb, and the Motorola Droid Bionic: a 4G LTEsmartphone destined for Verizon Wireless. The Droid Bionic has appeared on a number of leaked release slates, even though Motorola and Verizon have both declined to say when the phone will be released. Now rumors are popping up that due to issues in testing, the phone may be scrapped altogether.

The rumors started over at Howard Forums, and then wound up over at sites like Droid Life and Pocket Now, but for its part Motorola and Verizon Wireless are keeping tight-lipped about them. Some people point out that the Droid Bionic is entirely too late in its development and testing cycle to signal a cancellation. A delay may be possible, but not an outright retreat from the market.

Others point to a litany of rumored issues with battery life, and the fact that Motorola may be releasing a new version of MotoBlur with the Droid Bionic as all signals that all’s not well with the device. It’s also possible that Motorola may be refocusing its efforts on a new handset codenamed Droid Targa, which reportedly looks more like the Droid X with rounded edges and a smoother case design.

Still, the Bionic would be Verizon Wireless’ second LTE device (after the HTC Thunderbolt,) and its first dual-core LTE phone. Even though the hardware is very similar to the already-released Motorola Atrix on AT&T, Motorola is still doing a lot of things for the first time with the Bionic, the least of which is putting in an LTE radio.

It’s important to point out that all of this is rumor at the moment, and Motorola isn’t about to acknowledge any design or testing difficulty they have or haven’t had with the Droid Bionic by responding to them. Until they or Verizon Wireless pipe up with a release date for the Bionic, the speculation is likely to continue
